Article: Home Cooks Share Their Secrets

An interesting article from The San Francisco Chronicle today about what makes a good home cook, a topic that, as you probably know, is very close to my heart. Please note that while the reporter goes looking for what takes people above the level of recipe-user, the answer he receives is, in most cases...cookbooks. It's just how you use them. I'm no cook, but I do make the best pancakes in town... I found healthy experimentation with the cook book was the key...That, and not telling anyone I put 3 cups of sugar into the batter...
